Yesterday’s surprise was seeing Pietro Terracciano start from the first minute against Arsenal instead of Mike Maignan. After the events of early June, some fans suspected that this exclusion might be related to transfer market reasons — but of course, that’s not the case.
This morning, Tuttosport explained the absence of the French goalkeeper with the headline:
"Maignan, not in top condition."
The captain of this new Milan under Max Allegri, however, is expected to recover in time for the next match in Hong Kong against Liverpool. Alongside him, the Rossoneri coach could also have Youssouf Fofana and Alex Jimenez back at his disposal.
