Samuele Ricci, who put in a solid performance against Liverpool, was interviewed by Milan TV at the end of the 4-2 friendly win over the Reds. Here are his comments:
“It was a beautiful match, because of the atmosphere, the really nice stadium, the great setting, and of course the opponent we were facing and the match we played. The important thing I noticed on the pitch, and I think it was clear from the outside too, is that we made progress compared to the game against Arsenal, where we struggled to break vertically on the counter. This time, we managed to do that and created many chances. That’s exactly what the coach is asking of us: to be clinical.”

On Liverpool:
"We were aware of the quality of the opponent, and we respected them. Maybe they had a bit more technically, so it was the right moment to play a different kind of match, stay more compact, and be more solid."
On the team's current moment, Ricci said:
"There’s a great group here. I have to say the staff and the coach have done an excellent job with that. The atmosphere is relaxed, which allows us to work calmly. What matters most is that once we’re on the pitch, we’re all focused and we all give 100% for Milan. That’s the most important thing."
