These days there is much talk about Milan’s new striker, and in general, the whole summer has been filled with discussion about the new centre-forward without giving due attention to the fact that the RedBird-owned club already has in its squad a striker in whom it invested heavily in recent months.
This is Santiago Gimenez, who was purchased in January for over €30 million from the Dutch side Feyenoord, but who, in the second half of last season, was unable to have the desired impact.

Now, for Gimenez, it is a matter of showing Milan that betting on him was not a mistake, and he wants to establish himself in Allegri’s line-up, strengthened by the experience of the first few months. La Gazzetta dello Sport headlines about the Mexican centre-forward as follows:
"Gimenez convinces Max. The Mexican is in form and dreams of a top season.”
The subheading then adds:
“He made an excellent impression, but the search for another first striker continues.”
Without Tammy Abraham, Luka Jovic, and Francesco Camarda anymore, looking for another forward was and still is inevitable, but the Rossoneri's number 7 is ready to fully play his hand.
