In these final days of the summer transfer window, in addition to signing a new striker, Milan are also working on offloading some surplus players such as Ismael Bennacer and Yacine Adli, who returned to the Rossoneri this summer after loan spells at Marseille and Fiorentina respectively. As explained this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport, both players are set to leave and have several options on the table, but for now they are struggling to decide which to accept.
Both the Algerian and the Frenchman are out of Milan’s technical project, to the point that they are no longer training with Max Allegri’s first team (Adli is currently preparing with Milan Futuro). Bennacer, after rejecting some offers from Saudi Arabia, remains on Marseille’s radar as they would like to take him back on loan, but the Rossoneri are pushing for a permanent sale. The former Bordeaux man, meanwhile, is being targeted by Sassuolo.
