AC Milan and Divock Origi may soon part ways, this time for good. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri and the Belgian striker are very close to reaching an agreement to terminate the former Liverpool man’s contract.
Signed on a free transfer in the summer of 2022, Origi failed to impress in his only season at San Siro. After an underwhelming loan spell at Nottingham Forest and a year in which he remained on the payroll without ever setting foot at Milanello, he is now heading for a definitive exit.
With one year still left on his deal, Milan and Origi have agreed to cut ties, with the club set to pay out less than half of his remaining salary.
