Through his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano spoke about Victor Boniface, giving the latest updates on his move to Milan:
“Milan are completing all the steps for Victor Boniface. All the player-side details are done. Today his agent was in Milan to negotiate with the club and finalise the deal with Igli Tare. So, we can consider Boniface a done deal, pending the player’s arrival, medicals, and contract signing, all necessary steps to reach the finish line."

Romano continued to talk about the Boniface deal:
"The agreement with Bayer Leverkusen has been in place since yesterday: €5 million for the loan, €24 to 25 million for the buy option, a total package of €30 million. There’s no obligation, Milan will decide in the summer of 2026 what they want to do with the Nigerian striker, who has just said yes in the last 24 to 48 hours after contacts to bring him to the Rossoneri. A new striker for Milan, and Allegri will have him very soon. Given the timing, it’s unlikely he’ll be available this weekend, but by next week Milan should be able to use their new forward. Voted Bundesliga Player of the Season a year ago, if he’s fit, and that’s the key point, he can be a top-level reinforcement.”
