In the early afternoon, the new Rossoneri striker landed in Milan for medical exams and signing.

Victor Boniface is preparing for his arrival on Planet Milan. Yesterday, his agents met with the Rossoneri management to finalize the last details of the contract that will tie the Nigerian striker to the Rossoneri until June 30, 2026, with an option for future seasons in case the buyout clause is exercised. Today, the player arriving from Bayer Leverkusen is expected in Italy. In the early afternoon, Boniface will land at Linate Airport and begin the medical examinations, which are a prerequisite for signing.

Born in 2000, Boniface will join Milan on a loan deal worth €5 million, with the option to make the transfer permanent for an additional €24 million plus bonuses. However, he has a significant history of physical problems, particularly over the past two seasons, when, despite scoring 32 goals in 61 matches, muscular injuries frequently troubled him. Boniface also participated in a reduced pre-season with Bayer, taking part in almost all friendlies before the season started, but he did not get any minutes in the first official match in the German Cup. Even the Bayer coach, Ten Hag, told the press that the Nigerian striker was not yet in optimal condition to contribute fully, as pointed out by Calcio Mercato.

The medical checks are completed, Boniface will sign the contract between today and tomorrow, officially becoming a Milan player. In the best-case scenario, the Bundesliga striker could sit in the stands tomorrow evening to watch Massimiliano Allegri’s team make their Serie A debut against Cremonese. If confirmed, his arrival would give the ex Juventus coach an alternative in the central striker role to Santiago Gimenez.

Besides, with a potential departure of Chukwueze (watch out for Fulham), Milan could return to the market to bring in another young forward to complete a frontline that recently also said goodbye to Okafor.
