It has been a busy summer transfer window for AC Milan. They've lost two key figures in the team in Theo Hernandez and Tijjani Reijnders, filling the former's void with the arrival of Pervis Estupinan. As for the Serie A Midfielder of the Season, Milan have brought in three midfielders: Luka Modric, Ardon Jashari and Samuele Ricci. And following the departures of Alessandro Florenzi, Filippo Terracciano, Emerson Royal, Kyle Walker and Davide Calabria, they've added a new right back in Zachary Athekame from Young Boys.
Milan have also replaced Malick Thiaw with Koni De Winter in the center of defense, whilst they've also signed backup goalkeeper Pietro Terracciano. The Rossoneri's latest move, meanwhile, saw Noah Okafor make the move to newly promoted Premier League side Leeds United for €20 million.
After a decade at Basel, Okafor departed his native Switzerland and joined Austrian heavyweights Red Bull Salzburg before making the move to Milan in 2023. However, after struggling to make an impact in Milan, he departed for Napoli midway through the season, where he featured sparingly in their title-winning campaign. Now, he's set for a new adventure in England.
With Okafor gone, Milan's attacking options have dwindled to Santiago Gimenez, Samuel Chukwueze, Christian Pulisic, Rafael Leao and Alexis Saelemaekers, with Leao being rumored to miss the opening game vs. Cremonese. It means that, as they look to kickstart their new era under Max Allegri, they need to reinforce their attacking arsenal. The only question is, who?
Artem Dovbyk has been linked as a potential option. After winning the Pichichi and leading Girona to Champions League qualification, Dovbyk made the move to Roma, where he never quite managed to justify his price tag. He has been linked with moves to Villarreal and Napoli, but Milan could beat them out if they pay their €30m asking price.
Another player who has been mentioned as a potential option is Rasmus Hojlund. The Danish striker has been unable to deliver on expectations since joining Manchester United in 2023, but he has nevertheless showcased his quality in Italian football during his brief tenure at Atalanta. And with United desperate to push him out, Milan could potentially sign him on a loan deal.
Dusan Vlahovic, meanwhile, has been mentioned as a possible reinforcement. The Serbian striker was one of the best center forwards in world football with Fiorentina, but he hasn't quite been able to get the most out of his time at Juventus. And whilst he managed to score two goals in the FIFA Club World Cup, Juve are keen to cut ties with him and bring in Randal Kolo Muani, who spent the past few months on loan with La Vecchia Signora after joining from PSG.
Who should Milan sign to reinforce their attack?
