After selling and losing over 20 players this summer, through permanent transfers, loans, and contract expirations, Milan could part ways with a few more in these thrilling final days of the transfer window. One of the latest names, somewhat surprisingly given the current squad, is Alex Jimenez. He may be the most ready full-back in Allegri’s roster, but a strong connection hasn’t developed between player and coach, both tactically and personally.
Today, Corriere dello Sport highlights that Jimenez has received a call from Cesc Fabregas and his determined Como. The Spanish coach’s call is making the Milan full-back waver. Milan would also be open to a sale and is actively considering how to structure the deal: for now, a loan with an option to buy seems likely, but nothing has been finalized. Any discussion will also include Real Madrid, who retain a buy-back option on the player at least until next summer.
