Christopher Nkunku has officially joined AC Milan with a contract valid until 2030.
Here are his words to the Rossoneri club's official channel:
“Joining Milan? I was very happy. I’m really excited to be here. From the first moment, I was convinced by the project, and I’m very glad to be here.”
Fans might know you a little less: what is your playing style? What are your strengths?
"My playing style is very technical. I like playing with my teammates and linking play. I play in an attacking position and try to create assists or score goals for the team. I always think in terms of the team. I like to fight for it and give everything so we can all play at our best together."

What is your preferred position on the field?
"I like playing close to the striker or even as a striker myself. I like to have the freedom to attack, move in space, and communicate with my attacking teammates. That’s where I perform best."
How does it feel to join Milan?
"I feel proud. Very proud. I gained important experience in England and Germany. I’m ready to discover a new country, a new league, and I can’t wait to start this season."
Why did you choose the number 18?
"I’ve always liked this number and have worn it before. It has become even more special for personal reasons, events that strengthened this connection."
Have you spoken with Mike Maignan, Youssouf Fofana, or a former player like Olivier Giroud? Did they give you advice?
"I have an excellent relationship with Mike Maignan. We talked about many things, and he spoke very well about the club. Our personalities are similar. He immediately convinced me with what he said."
How does it feel to enter a locker room like Milan’s? Nkunku said:
“It’s great. We know the club’s ambitions. Winning is why such great players come here. I’ve already played against Luka, but not with Rafa. I’m very happy to play alongside them. I hope to get along well on the field for the team’s benefit.”
What are your personal goals for the season?
"I don’t have personal goals because I don’t want to set limits. I always try to improve day by day. This is my mentality. We’ll see how it goes by the end of the season."
Have you imagined playing at San Siro?
"Of course I have. I’ve already played there against France when we faced Italy. I immediately saw that it’s a beautiful stadium, very large. I’m very happy to be able to call it home."
What is your message for the Rossoneri fans?
"My message is: I’m very happy to be here. I will give everything for this club and to make the fans happy. These fans and this stadium make Milan legendary."
