Victor Boniface, the Nigerian striker who underwent medicals with Milan in recent weeks but ultimately did not complete his move to the Rossoneri, was officially presented today as a new Werder Bremen player.
Here are his words as relayed by tuttomercatoweb.com:
"I’ve always loved the Bundesliga and I wanted to stay in Germany, so it was easy to say yes."
Boniface added:
"Who’s questioning my fitness? If I weren’t at 100%, I’d be in the hospital and wouldn’t be here talking today. The failed move to Milan? That wasn’t up to me. They decided not to pursue it. I have a strong mindset: these things happen, it’s fine, I move on."
