Good news is coming from Milanello regarding Rafael Leao’s condition.
The Portuguese forward, who has been recovering from the muscle injury he picked up in mid-August during the Coppa Italia match against Bari, continued his personalized training today. Everything is progressing well, and his return to full training with the squad is expected next week, as pointed out by Milan News.

After missing him in the first two league games, Massimiliano Allegri should have him back after the international break, in the home match against Bologna (September 14). Leao is absolutely central to the Livorno coach’s tactical project, though there is plenty of curiosity about what position he will play.
Much will depend on the system Allegri opts for: in a 3-5-2, he would likely be deployed as a second striker alongside one of Pulisic, Gimenez, or new arrival Nkunku. In a 4-3-3, the Portuguese would take up his usual role on the left wing, though it’s not ruled out that he could also be used as a central striker, with Nkunku on the left and Pulisic on the right.
Regardless of where he plays, one thing is certain: Rafa will be at the very core of Allegri’s Milan. The coach is convinced that this could finally be the season of his definitive breakthrough. Already in preseason, Leao showed a different attitude, an aspect that had often been his Achilles’ heel. After the break, he will finally be able to return to the pitch, and the hope is that he can immediately start leading the Rossoneri again with his skill, goals, and assists.
