Samuele Ricci, who joined Milan from Torino in the last summer transfer window, gave these statements:
On the Italian national team:
"I think that through Milan I have to earn my place in the national team every single time, because it’s something very important for an Italian player like me. I need to do well with Milan and keep improving."
On training alongside Luka Modrić, Ricci said:
"It’s a privilege. You can see that he truly has something different compared to the others, even in the simplicity of what he does. For example, when he touches the ball with the outside of his foot, he makes it look completely natural. He never gets his positioning wrong, even without covering huge distances on the pitch. That shows you it’s not about running a lot, but about moving well. Just by watching him you can pick up on the little things that make the difference," he told Mediaset.
On what Massimiliano Allegri asks of him:
"For us midfielders, he asks us to be able to do everything. You must know how to defend: that’s the first thing, and then also attack well, each of us in our own way. Personally, I feel capable of doing both."
