Ismael Bennacer has left AC Milan to join GNK Dinamo.
Here's the official statement from Dinamo Zagreb club:
"We are pleased to announce that Algerian international and AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer will strengthen GNK Dinamo!
Dinamo and AC Milan have reached an agreement on a one-year loan with an option to buy the contract. Bennacer is coming to Zagreb, where he will undergo medical examinations before officially signing the contract.
Ismael Bennacer is an established midfielder with rich experience playing in one of the strongest leagues in the world. In the Milan jersey, he has made 137 appearances in Serie A and European competitions, and was named the best player at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations before moving from Empoli to Milan. With AC Milan, he won the Italian championship in the 2021/2022 season and played in the Champions League semi-finals after his goal helped Rossoneri eliminate Napoli in the quarter-finals.
During his loan spell at Marseille, he played half a season and was one of the best players in the French league.
His arrival represents a great reinforcement for our club and a significant step in strengthening the team for upcoming challenges.
