A goal against Bari in the Coppa Italia, the roar of San Siro, then nothing else. That, unfortunately, has been Rafael Leao’s start to the season.
After the opening minutes of the Coppa Italia clash with Bari at the Meazza, he was forced to raise the white flag due to a calf problem. An injury of some significance, which kept the Portuguese forward out of both the first and second league matches against Cremonese and Lecce, as pointed out by those at Milan Press.
But the number 10, Leao, could return as early as next week, when Serie A resumes after the international break. His return to group training is expected at the start of the week, something the Portuguese hinted at on social media by posting a picture with a mountain emoji, a symbol of effort and drive before stepping back onto the pitch.
