Granit Xhaka, Sunderland midfielder who was also linked to Milan this summer, spoke before his national team’s 4-0 win over Kosovo. The former Arsenal player also mentioned the current Milan No. 30, his Switzerland teammate Ardon Jashari. These were his words:
Xhaka on Jashari:
"I told him, ‘Your moment will come.’ Ardon has a big future ahead of him, and with the move to Milan he showed he is capable of playing for a top team. It’s a shame about the injury, but he is mentally strong enough and will surely come back even stronger," as relayed via Milan News.
On Instagram the Swiss midfielder wanted to thank the Milan fans for their support:
“I want to thank all of you for the incredible support and the messages I received in the past hours. Now I want to work hard, come back stronger than ever, and help achieve the goals of this great team. For all of you. Forza Milan, Ardon Jashari.”
