Luca Bianchin, journalist, wrote this on gazzetta.it about Pulisic and Gimenez:
“Christian Pulisic and Santiago Gimenez are overseas with their national teams. Pulisic will play with the United States on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday at 1:30 a.m. Italian time: USA-Japan in Columbus, Ohio. That’s over 7,000 kilometers away in a straight line. ‘Christian is happy to be here, obviously he’s an important player for us and the mood is good,’ said coach Mauricio Pochettino, after the controversy in June over Pulisic’s decision not to take part in the Gold Cup. Santiago Gimenez will play the same night at 3 AM Italian time: Mexico-South Korea, a friendly in Nashville, Tennessee."
Bianchin continued:
"Not far from where Pulisic will play and more than 7,500 kilometers from the towers of San Siro. Together that makes almost 15,000 kilometers between Pulisic and Gimenez. They will fly back between Wednesday and Thursday, do a couple of training sessions at Milanello, and then straight onto the pitch. Let’s put it this way: with games at 8:45 PM, the time zone difference weighs a little less.”
