According to what has been reported by those at the Milan News Italian website, Rafael Leao is continuing his personalized training program. Today as well, he carried out an individual session with therapy and specific exercises, aiming for full recovery from the calf injury he suffered on August 17 during Milan-Bari.

No major setbacks have been recorded. It will then be up to Massimiliano Allegri, the Rossoneri coach, to decide whether to bring him to the bench for Milan-Bologna or hold him back for another week. Everything will be managed with maximum caution.
No risks will be taken. If the Portuguese forward is not yet 100% ready to play, which is the current situation, he will not be called up, and his recovery process will instead be directed toward Udinese-Milan on September 20.
In addition to that, Italian journalist Luca Bianchin wrote on gazzetta.it about Rafael Leao’s condition:
"Rafa Leao will not be there on Sunday night for Milan-Bologna. His right calf is still not in good condition after the strain suffered in the Coppa Italia match against Bari on August 17. The optimism of the early part of the break has given way to caution. On Tuesday, Leao did not return to training with the team and he won’t today either. He still feels discomfort. Skipping international duty with Portugal was important but not enough. Milan will assess his condition in the next 48 hours, but hopes are… close to zero. The goal is to have him back on September 20 for the away match in Udine."
