On the first day of training camp, Alexis Saelemaekers told the club’s official channels that he had returned to Milan to stay.
During this transfer window some opportunities came up, but the Belgian never considered them because his priority was always to wear the Rossoneri shirt. After two consecutive loan spells, he managed to get what he wanted, proving wrong those who did not believe in him.

In the Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport in this morning's print edition, we read the following headline:
“For Saelemaekers the revenge is complete"
'Complete' also because, in addition to being one of Max Allegri’s key players, Milan have begun talks with his agent Gordon Stipic to secure him with a new contract until 2030, with an improved salary from two to three million euros.
