“Max’s Old Devil”
This is the headline this morning in Corriere della Sera, which explains that with an average age of 26.4 years (last season it was 25.1), the squad is the ninth “oldest” in Serie A.

From the start, one of the goals of sporting director Igli Tare and coach Massimiliano Allegri was to add experienced players to a rather young group. In the end, Luka Modric and Adrien Rabiot arrived.
These were Tare's words on June 24: "We analyzed that one of last year’s shortcomings was the lack of clear leadership within the team. Modric is fundamental, he will be a point of reference for a squad that needs players like him."
Tare then added:
"He will not be the only one, there will be one or two more signings among the experienced players. Then there will also be arrivals of young players with strong potential," as relayed via Milan News.
