“At Udine it is up to Pulisic to play the role of Leao”
This is the headline in Tuttosport ahead of tomorrow’s Milan match away to Udinese, valid for the fourth round of Serie A. After starting from the bench both against Lecce and last Sunday against Bologna, Christian Pulisic, who turned 27 yesterday, is ready to return as a starter.

While waiting for Rafael Leao’s return, Santiago Gimenez should partner with the American since Christopher Nkunku is still behind in fitness (he could then start on Tuesday in the Coppa Italia against Lecce).
In addition to Leao, head coach Massimiliano Allegri will also not have Mike Maignan available, who will be replaced in goal by Pietro Terracciano. Strahinja Pavlovic has instead recovered, and like the Frenchman, had come off injured from last Sunday’s match against Bologna.
It is possible that the Serbian will start from the bench, which would open the door for Koni De Winter to be in the starting lineup (the other two defenders will be Fikayo Tomori and Matteo Gabbia).
