After the 3-0 win against Lecce, AC Milan's full-back Davide Bartesaghi spoke to Milan TV.
Congrats on your first start of the year:
"Thank you. I appreciate it. We are only at the start. We played a great match, we started well, which was not obvious, so it was important to open and close the game quickly."
How is your development going?
"I have always felt good in this club, with the staff, teammates, everyone. I am very happy. I have kept working and will continue because I am only at the start. I have nothing to lose and a lot to prove."
What are Massimiliano Allegri, his staff, and players like Modric giving you with their experience?
"Both the coaches, like Corradi, who I also had in the national team and knows me a bit better, and the players are very supportive. We are always close and talk, which is key to building the group. Of course, with people like Modric, Rafa (Leao), and Gabbia, who is very close to me, I try to learn from their experience, which will help me grow."
How eager are you to show yourself to the national team? Bartesaghi answered:
"I am very happy about the U21 call-up. I was eager to play but had a knee issue that prevented it. I want to show there that I deserve a chance."
