Pepe Reina, former Liverpool, Napoli, Milan, Lazio, Como and Villarreal Spanish goalkeeper, spoke to 'Spagna Cultura e Scienza' about his time with the Rossoneri:
"AC Milan is one of the most historic and important clubs in Europe, and I joined with high expectations. Unfortunately, circumstances didn’t allow me to experience it the way I had hoped. Despite that, I have very fond memories of the people I was lucky enough to meet during that period."
2020 was a special year, with the pandemic changing the world and your return to Italy after a six-month spell in England. How did you adapt to life in Rome, and what aspect of the city do you remember most fondly? Reina answered:
"The year of the pandemic changed the world and transformed all of us. My family and I adapted easily to life in Rome thanks to our knowledge of the country, the language, the cuisine, and all those everyday aspects that make the experience simpler and more enjoyable. I was captivated by the city’s architectural and cultural beauty, and I remember with emotion the sense of romance that fills many of its most charming corners."
