Through Fiorentina’s official website, the club’s Head of Medical Staff, Dr. Luca Pengue, provided an update on the team’s injured players ahead of the Serie A match against Milan:
“Moise Kean returned on Monday evening and we immediately started therapy. The tests he underwent showed no sign of any lesion. There was, of course, a sprain event, but we hope to have him back training on the pitch soon. Everything is going well so far, and we will assess his condition day by day."
"Dodo and Fazzini were substituted for different reasons, the first due to muscular issues, while Jacopo suffered two sprain-type traumas during the match. Both worked during the international break and rejoined the group on Tuesday. Their condition is good.
Sohm is fine, he also rejoined the group on Tuesday. His issue was different and required a few extra days of work. He will now be monitored with proper workload management."
"Pongracic suffered a sprain trauma during the match that prevented him from finishing the game. We have been in contact with the Croatian national team’s medical staff, and we will carry out all necessary assessments during the day. It does not appear to be anything concerning."
"Kouame has completed his rehabilitation process after his cruciate ligament injury. He is back training with the team, but we are at an early stage and need to be cautious to avoid muscular setbacks. He is working well with the group while skipping the parts of training that could put him at risk."
"Lamptey is progressing very well. He is in his twenty-second postoperative week and is already close to beginning the running phase. As we did with Dodo, we are making full use of all the facilities at Viola Park, and the player’s response has been similar to what we saw with the Brazilian. The results are excellent,” as relayed via firenze Viola today.
