From the friendly match the United States played overnight (Italian time) against Australia (ended 2-1 in favour of the Americans), bad news arrives for Milan and Massimiliano Allegri. Christian Pulisic, who started the game, was forced off in the 30th minute due to a hamstring injury. The American forward walked off the field on his own but looked visibly frustrated as he headed toward the bench and then down the tunnel to the locker room.
In the post-match press conference, Pochettino said about Pulisic’s injury: "He felt something in his hamstring. He will fly to Italy tomorrow, and we’ll assess the situation tonight, but for now we can’t say anything."
Only the medical tests he will undergo upon returning to Italy will reveal the extent of Pulisic's injury and his recovery time. Milan face Fiorentina at San Siro on Sunday, and the American’s presence is now highly doubtful.
