Luka Modric, Milan’s world-class midfielder, is exceeding the most optimistic expectations at the start of his new life in the Rossoneri shirt. The former Real Madrid player appeared live this evening on TG1. He had a few words with the news presenter.

Here are his statements:
On why he joined Milan, Modric said:
"Playing for Milan is the best thing right now. I’m in a great, historic club. The team has great talents and the coach is a winner. It’s a long journey, but I have big expectations."
On his goal:
"I came here to win. Returning to the Champions League is the minimum goal, but I hope to achieve more."
On his childhood Rossoneri passion:
"My idol? Boban. I grew up admiring him. But also Maldini, Kakà, Pirlo, Seedorf…"
On Serie A, Modric commented:
"The level of Serie A is very high. In other major leagues, you don’t find as many challenges as here: Juve, Inter, Napoli, Lazio, Roma…"
On playing at San Siro:
"The Bernabeu is special for me, I spent thirteen years there and felt indescribable emotions. But San Siro is a stadium full of history. Ancelotti told me I would feel at home here, it's one of the greatest."
On his dream:
"I’ve already won everything, but my dream is to win with Milan. Because when you never give up, anything can happen. Forza Milan always," concluded Modric.
