In an episode of That Milan Podcast hosted by Martino Puccio and Matt Santangelo, guest Kush shared details of a long, private conversation he had with AC Milan owner Gerry Cardinale. During the chat, the RedBird founder made one thing very clear: AC Milan is not for sale.
Here are his words:
"My chat with Gerry was supposed to be a lot shorter and ended up being almost 4 times its time. We were chatting for about an hour and a half if I remember right."
Gerry Cardinale is never selling AC Milan
"So, we had a long chat, we talked about a lot of different things, it was just him and I having breakfast and just chatting. I told Gerry (about the rumours of possibly selling the club when the new stadium project is completed). He just looked at me and smiled and said: 'Kush, I'm never selling AC Milan', and I said 'Okay, good to know, now that we know you're here for it for the long time. Now, we know that you are actually invested in the club'."
Kush continued to talk about his chat with Gerry Cardinale:
"The conversation drifted and we talked about a lot of things and something came up and I said: 'You see, this is why some people think you plan on leaving'. This time he leaned forward and he said: 'Kush, I'm never selling this club'."
