Massimiliano Allegri, Milan's coach, spoke to Sky Sport 24 after Milan-Pisa 2-2. His statements:
Never satisfied during the game: what is your analysis?
"We are content with the draw in the end. Tonight we made mistakes and we need to reflect, work on what went wrong. When leading, we should have moved to 2-0, at the same time we were too stretched: the two forwards were far from the midfielders and there were too many gaps in the middle. After the 1-0 we did not stay compact and we stretched out. In the last five minutes there are two things to improve: at that moment two actions can decide the game but you must not lose focus, because Pavlovic had to chase Nzola."
Is it a coincidence that Milan struggles against low-block teams?
"It is not a coincidence: it is a matter of growth and understanding the moments of the match. Once in the lead, we needed to be clearer and quicker."
Is it an attitude problem or credit to Pisa? Allegri said:
"Both. Pisa played well and exploited our weaknesses. When they had the ball we stretched too much and we cannot do that. After 1-0 it was the moment to double the lead, we had situations in the box where we could have been sharper. We need to keep working and improving on this."
What do you like most about this team?
"Tonight we had small flaws because after 1-0, with the calm of a strong team, we should have understood we could make it 2-0 without conceding anything. Ricci had an open-field situation where the pass was delayed, and a couple of other situations. In the last five minutes we cannot all go forward and risk losing. Today's point is frustrating but in the long run it will be important for the season's objective."
Moreo-Gabbia contact on Pisa's second goal... Allegri commented:
"No, absolutely. It was a long ball where we were unprepared, foul or not. We did not lose, which is positive, but it will serve as a lesson to improve."
