“We should have killed the game in the first half. We played well but scored only one goal. We started the second half softly, then there was the unlucky penalty and the goal. But this is football, that’s why it’s beautiful: even if you are stronger and deserve to win, anything can happen. We are sad and angry for dropping two valuable points.”
Modric, you often swapped positions with Ricci:
“They played man-to-man and we swapped to create more space and confuse them. For most of the game we managed it, but we have to win these home games. We move forward.”
