Interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, former Milan player Serginho spoke about tonight’s Milan-Pisa match:
"What kind of game will it be? Not an easy one, because Pisa will sit deep and finding space will be difficult. But Milan have the chance to stay top of the table and possibly extend the gap with their direct rivals. I trust this Milan side, especially with Leao back from injury. The Portuguese forward has what it takes to make the difference. Now it’s up to him to use it."
Leading Milan in midfield once again will be Luka Modric... Serginho commented:
"He has brought more experience and balance to the midfield, solving a big issue the team had. A champion like him makes the difference despite his age, because he always wants the ball, gives confidence to those around him, and works hard for his teammates, setting the example. Brocchi said Modric would have played even in our Milan? He’s right. Modric has top-level quality, keeps the ball at his feet like the old-generation players, and never loses it. His through passes and vertical play are like those of the greats. He’s one of the few of that kind still around… Playing alongside Pirlo, Seedorf, and Rui Costa would have been a show."
