On the official website of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Luca Bianchin commented on the form of Christopher Nkunku and Santiago Gimenez, who are still without a goal in the league despite the high expectations around them:
“Why isn’t Gimenez scoring? The answer is complex. In the past, it was due to inaccuracy and bad luck. Last weekend, De Gea denied him a goal with a miracle save, and other times it was a matter of a few centimeters. Against Pisa, it was a different story. Milan’s slow-paced match is certainly part of the explanation. Santi was running aimlessly, with Milan often sleepy, slow, and unable to create for him. In the first half, he had one half-chance and failed to control it. In the second, nothing. Christopher Nkunku, by comparison, has a big excuse: he played only 14 minutes plus stoppage time. In those 14 minutes, he came closer to scoring. Set up by Leao, at least he managed to shoot on goal. Canestrelli, with a sliding tackle, erased his celebration.”
