After the match against Pisa, the Rossoneri must immediately take the field again for the midweek round, in a delicate and difficult game in Bergamo against Atalanta. Carlo Pellegatti spoke about it, saying:
"The match in Bergamo is important after the slip-up, or semi slip-up, because you didn’t lose even if we expected a win. We’re facing a team surrounded by controversy, that never loses but doesn’t win often. I saw the player ratings against Cremonese, and they faced the same problems Milan had against Pisa, low scores, so Atalanta are going through a tricky moment, having scored only one goal between Slavia Prague and Cremonese. For Milan, there’s also a technical issue, because after finding defensive solidity, I hope the two goals conceded against Pisa were only a bad exception. Now Milan must find a way to be productive not only through Leao.”
On AC Milan's Rafael Leao, Pellegatti said:
"I’m glad he has found consistency in scoring. A pity about the crossbar hit, which would have boosted his confidence even more. Leao now dares, he took two shots from outside the box, both goals, which maybe he wouldn’t have tried a few months ago. He tried them also because he was in the right position on the pitch to do so. Leao is now our main scorer, the player Milan relies on for finishing.”
