Igli Tare spoke to DAZN before Atalanta vs AC Milan. These were the words of the Rossoneri sporting director:
There’s a good atmosphere around the team, with the fans backing the players. Credit to Massimiliano Allegri and the club?
“Absolutely yes, we started this new chapter with great enthusiasm. The fans are following us, we’re in a positive moment, we must be aware that we need to keep this momentum going.”

Is there a willingness to intervene in January in terms of numbers?
“It wasn’t expected that six players would get injured during an international break, that’s not something that happens every day. In moments like this, we must be aware that we’re a strong team, and the players have shown that on the pitch. We need to keep going until the start of December, then we’ll assess the situation together with the coach regarding the future.”
What does Santiago Gimenez need to do so people start talking about him again ahead of the next transfer window? Tare answered:
“He needs to stay calm, it’s part of the process for every striker. I know what it means because I played the same position. He has everyone’s trust, the club’s, the coach’s, and most importantly, his teammates’. Tonight he has a great chance to show he’s a top striker.”
How many goals do you expect from Santiago Gimenez?
“In his career, he has always scored, wherever he’s played he’s reached double figures. This is a tough moment for him, but at the same time he’s doing a great job for the team on the pitch, and that’s why the coach keeps trusting him.”
