Juventus has announced Luciano Spalletti as the new head coach of the first team. The club released the following statement:
"Luciano Spalletti is the new coach of Juventus. The Tuscan manager has signed a contract until June 30, 2026.
Born in Certaldo, near Florence, in 1959, Spalletti began his coaching career 30 years ago after playing for clubs such as Spezia and Empoli. It was with Empoli that he started his journey as a coach, winning a Serie C Italian Cup and earning promotion to Serie A, establishing himself as one of the most innovative coaches in Italian football.
His breakthrough came with Udinese in the early 2000s, leading the team to three consecutive European qualifications. In the 2004/05 season, he achieved the club’s first-ever qualification for the Champions League, which then earned him four seasons with Roma, where he won two Coppa Italia titles and one Italian Super Cup.
From 2009 to 2014, Spalletti managed Zenit St. Petersburg, winning two league titles, one cup, and one Russian Super Cup before returning to Italy to coach Roma again and later Inter. He became Serie A champion with Napoli in the 2022/23 season and then served as coach of the Italian national team until last June.
A profile of skill and experience we are pleased to welcome into the Juventus family. Welcome to Juventus, and good work, Mister!"
