This morning’s edition of 'Quotidiano Sportivo' headlines:
"Milan-Como could ‘return’ to Italy: the clubs are thinking about it."
In recent weeks, there has been much controversy surrounding the possibility that the Serie A match scheduled for February between Allegri’s team and Fabregas’ side could be played in Perth, Australia. Many have opposed the project, and now both clubs are reportedly starting to reconsider.
In the past few days, Italy’s Minister of Sport, Andrea Abodi, also commented on the issue: "Milan-Como in Perth? Everyone has their opinion. I think the League’s decision falls within its rights, and one should try to see the positive sides. But there is a lack of respect for the fans, because football only makes sense when your supporters are there. Here, they are being asked to make a major sacrifice, not only financial, but also because their concerns are being ignored."
