Ten league matches are enough to say that Milan is present, has a soul, and is running toward its goals.
The roadmap in Max Allegri’s mind is progressing well, and his plan is to reach March among the top teams, then push hard in the final two months. The current table shows the Rossoneri just one point behind first place, in line with the coach’s expectations.

Speaking of Max, his return has truly improved the team. The ex Juventus coach is achieving significant results, and the numbers confirm it. 21 points with only one loss, in the season opener against newly-prmoted Serie A side Cremonese. Milan has gone nine games without defeat, a streak they last matched a year and a half ago. In these first ten matches, they have faced five direct rivals for European spots, winning three (Napoli, Bologna, Roma) and drawing two (Juventus, Atalanta). No defeats in the big matches, a notable factor. Matches against newly promoted teams show room for improvement. Milan has seven points more than last season after ten rounds, showing the club returned to normalcy once a winning coach was appointed, as relayed via Milan News.
On the eve of the Roma match, Allegri said Napoli and Inter have stronger squads to fight for the Scudetto. That is probably true. Yet Massimiliano is keeping pace with those teams despite a thinner squad and players not all at top level.
The results are positive, and this is down to Allegri:
The dressing room follows him, and everyone is engaged in Milan’s revival project. The Italian coach is said to have full control over the group, and results support this. Many players admire his methods, along with his large staff at Milanello, who are seen as a real asset to the club.
If Allegri manages to get the forwards performing, after stabilizing the defensive line, he could seriously compete for the title. The main issue remains the forwards’ productivity. Milan struggles to score outside of Leao and Pulisic. If this continues, a market move would not be surprising. It would be a shame to miss the momentum, which is why November and December will be crucial for shaping January strategies. The coach would not refuse adding a few quality players to the squad.
