The hypothetical arrival of a player like Lewandowski in Italy would mean a lot for a club like Milan. Both in marketing and sponsorship terms, and most of all, on the pitch. We’ve seen how, despite his age, Luka Modric remains a top player, contributing heavily to his team in every aspect. Assists and goals keep coming, and Modric is clearly Allegri’s key man. January impossible, summer departure more likely
Despite reports from Spain (specifically Sport, citing Sportitalia) suggesting that Milan are already interested in Lewandowski for January, Fabrizio Romano clarified the striker’s position: "From what we know, speaking to people close to Lewandowski, the player has no intention of moving in January."
Lewandowski is said to believe that Barcelona can still "go far in several competitions, including the Champions League," and he wants to end his time in the Blaugrana shirt in the best possible way. Any move, if it were to happen, would be pushed to next summer, a less tense and calmer moment when the former Borussia and Bayern forward might, perhaps, decide to take a new path.
