Milan is currently second in the standings, two points behind leaders Inter and Roma, but things during this November break could have gone differently if Massimiliano Allegri’s team had not hesitated to take off at the most important moments.
Regrets are plenty, and significant, with Il Giorno newspaper, headlining in a small section on its front page this morning:
"How many wasted points against the 'small teams'", because the five points gained against Cremonese, Lecce, Pisa, and Parma are too few for a team aiming to return to the top of Italian football, even if the primary goal this season lies elsewhere.
