A story that caused a stir on social media: Luka Modric and Mario Pasalic reached the Croatian national team camp in Zagreb by flying on a Ryanair flight, as regular passengers.
Yesterday afternoon, the Irish low-cost airline commented on X: "If Modric can fly with us, so can you." The post triggered thousands of replies, many of them ironic.
Luka was surrounded by football fans at the airport, and later in the afternoon, he met supporters from the Milan Club Istra, who were visiting the Croatian capital to see the former Real Madrid star, posing for a commemorative photo, as relayed via Gazzetta dello Sport.
At Milanello, meanwhile, the Milan players not involved with their national teams worked in the gym, including Adrien Rabiot and Santiago Gimenez, both recovering from injuries. The two will not take part in tomorrow morning’s friendly against Entella (11:30 a.m. in Solbiate Arno).
Today, a morning training session is scheduled, with Massimiliano Allegri’s group to be joined by players from Milan Futuro and the Primavera team.
