Demetrio Albertini, former Milan midfielder, spoke on the sidelines of the AIC Football Gala presentation about Milan, the derby, Modric, and Leao:
On the Milan derby:
"I expect a good derby. I hope it will be a good match. There is no favourite, both teams started well. I thought Inter would suffer a bit more after a demanding year like the last one. Instead, they started well with a new coach who is doing well. Milan found balance, and I want to see that in the derby too, because for me this match is never like the others."
On Luka Modric, Albertini commented:
"It is limiting to speak only about his passion. Modric has great quality, he dictates the tempo for the team. Playing once a week is important for him because he gets time to recover. It is a pleasure to watch him on the pitch in our league every Sunday."
On Milan:
"They fight for the title, in fact, they must. Milan are obliged to think big."
On Rafael Leao:
"I like him a lot, consistency had to be his target because everyone knows his qualities. A top player needs consistency to become a champion. He is doing that this year, he is surprising me in a positive way."
