Massimiliano Allegri, AC Milan's head coach, is present at the press conference after Inter-Milan.
Here's what he said after the 0-1 victory against the Nerazzurri:
"I thanked the boys, they gave us a wonderful night, delivering a nice win to the fans, the club, and the staff. Tomorrow we need to rest, then on Tuesday we return to training for Lazio, where we need to do well, otherwise we throw away tonight’s result, maintaining balance. We made some technical mistakes at the start, we were a bit cautious, we needed to do better."
Allegri, did you expect to be at this point on July 7?
"In a big team you need ambition. We will see how we manage to turn things around and we need to give continuity to results."
How do you improve against smaller teams?
"You must improve while showing respect even to smaller teams. When you return to the pitch you should not concede so many goal situations from throw-ins like what happened with Parma."
Comparable to the win against Roma?
"It’s not a matter of suffering, but that when you need to defend you must be aggressive on every ball to make life difficult for the opponents. When we don’t have the ball, we must not concede goals."
Derby ended 0-1 like your first derby... Allegri replied:
"They told me after the match. This win allows us to stay in the top four. Five points were not much from first place, but psychologically the setback could have hit us."
