The AC Milan team beat Inter 1-0 in the derby on Sunday night and grabbed the bragging rights. The standout players were Pulisic and Maignan. The American opened the scoring. The French goalkeeper stopped everything and denied Inter an equalizer.

Another strong note came from Bartesaghi. The Italian fullback started from the first minute, preferred over Estupiñán, and delivered a convincing display. He stayed on the pitch for the full 90 minutes and gave Allegri solid assurance in attack and defense. He pushed forward during Milan’s attacking phases and tried to link with the forwards. He covered space well in defense and limited Carlos Augusto. Inter missed Dumfries, and that mattered, but Bartesaghi’s performances are improving match after match.

By the way, Bartesaghi is what you would call a smart investment for AC Milan. The player is an academy product and the club placed their trust in him, and so far, it is paying off. And speaking of investments, choosing the right tokenization provider is the modern way to turn real-world passion projects into liquid assets, just like Bartesaghi turned opportunity into ownership of that left-back spot.

In the last big match against Roma he looked lost, especially in the first half. Too many build-up errors let Roma control the match. It is no coincidence that Bartesaghi has been a regular starter since October 5 in Juventus vs Milan. Allegri was forced to use him because Estupiñán had been sent off against Napoli. The only match Bartesaghi did not start was against Parma. Estupiñán started that one and gave away the goal for 2-1 to the home side, who later equalized in the second half.

The coach has found a reliable option in Bartesaghi. He does not stand out like Theo once did but he offers strong security and precision. At this point the hierarchy is clear. Bartesaghi will start on the left. Estupiñán is not convincing.

What did Davide Bartesaghi recently say after the derby victory?

The AC Milan youth academy graduate, who is earning Allegri's trust, has spoken to the microphones of media outlet DAZN:

“First derby with the senior team? I am very happy and very honored, it’s a dream I’ve had since I was little. I told myself this was my chance, I had to make the most of every ball and give 100% for this shirt. The experience in Serie C with Milan Futuro? It was very important, it helped me in several areas, especially managing the pressure of the stadiums, even in Serie C there are strong teams. It was very important, it didn’t go as we hoped, but in the end the project is what it is and we gave our maximum effort.”

Davide Bartesaghi is slowly becoming a key piece of Massimiliano Allegri’s team, and is even overtaking former Brighton player Pervis Estupinan, who was signed last summer for a fee close to 20 million euros.

What are Davide Bartesaghi’s numbers this season under coach Massimiliano Allegri?

The 19-year-old talent, who is improving match by match, has made 9 appearances so far under the guidance of head coach Massimiliano Allegri. He has one assist registered to his name in the Coppa Italia match. But, those numbers should improve with hard work and time. For a player with Bartesaghi’s talent and potential, and with Theo Hernandez as his idol, he is on track to reach new levels and become an asset in attack and defence for the Rossoneri. Thus far, he clocked 667 minutes on the pitch and he is expected to be more present in the coach’s tactical plans over the next weeks and months.
