Match report Milan-Lazio, just finished 1-0: Leao’s goal decides the game, allowing the Rossoneri to overtake Roma and reach first place in the standings, at least for one night.
First half of Milan-Lazio
A somewhat subdued start for Allegri’s Milan, while Lazio immediately threatens with a great chance for Gila. The Spaniard, however, did not account for Maignan, who makes a remarkable save and deflects the ball for a corner. The pattern seems clear: Lazio pushing forward with conviction, Milan trying to hit on the counter, a lethal weapon for the Rossoneri this season.
In the central part of the first half, one of the in-form men, Zaccagni, takes the spotlight, first drawing a booking from Tomori and then getting past him with a great play, but finishing into Maignan’s arms. He is the main threat to Milan’s defense. The first half remains fairly balanced, with few shots and few real chances, ending 0-0 at the break.
Second half of Milan-Lazio
The second half starts excellently for Milan, a nice combination on the right leads to a cross from Tomori, Leao meets it in the center and, as a pure striker, puts it past Provedel. The coaches make the first substitutions: Castellanos and Dele Bashiru return from injury for Lazio, while Loftus-Cheek comes in for Fofana, who is struggling with a physical problem, as relayed via Milan Press.
Milan drops the intensity slightly after the goal, Lazio remains proactive but does not create major threats near Maignan. Allegri’s substitutions aim for caution: the formation shifts to 4-5-1 with Ricci replacing Nkunku, and Loftus-Cheek staying on the midfield line. Sarri brings on Noslin for Basic and Tavares for Pellegrini to push for an equalizer.
