Davide Bartesaghi spoke to Radio Sportiva about his path in Milan Futuro before joining the senior team. Here's what he said:
"Last season with Milan Futuro helped me a lot. The project focuses on developing young players. I am at the start, I still have a long way ahead. For a young player, playing in a tough league like Serie C is a key step and a motivation. You grow more when you face difficulties, if the path is smooth you do not understand certain things. Last season was disappointing in terms of results, but it was very important for me."

Bartesaghi added:
"I am a humble and calm guy who thinks only about working, football and giving everything for this shirt. I grew up in Milan’s academy and I feel I owe a lot to this club."
On the title:
"It is still early to think about the title, but it is one of our targets along with returning to the Champions League. We are only at the start, many matches are left. We can talk about this again in May."
On Massimiliano Allegri:
"He is helping me a lot, as are his staff and my teammates. I feel their trust every day and this is key for my improvement."
On his idol, Bartesaghi said:
"I had posters of Maldini and Marcelo. I look up to Theo. If I have to mention a current Serie A player, I say Spinazzola because I am a bit similar to him."
On his role:
"I have tried other positions too, including as the third centre-back. I am versatile and I think this matters in today’s football. I feel comfortable in all the positions I play, I do not have a preferred role."
On Italy U21:
"I feel good. I am grateful for coach Baldini’s trust."
What is Davide Bartesaghi's dream?
"A future with the national team and staying at Milan," said the Italian left-back. "I hope to become a Milan symbol. It is early, but I hope so because this club is amazing and I have been here since I was a kid."
