As already pointed out previously via MilanNews.it reported that some Rossoneri scouts had been sent to Belgium, specifically to Genk, to watch the Europa League match between the home team and Swiss side Basel. The reason was the very young Greek playmaker Konstantinos Karetsas, born in 2007, who took advantage of the spotlight in that game and scored the winning goal for his team, securing three crucial points.
This morning, Gazzetta dello Sport published the news in its print edition with the headline:
"Allegri targets Belgium. The gem Karetsas, creativity for the future."
The newspaper notes how the signs of fate are sometimes unmistakable: despite a strong start to the season, the young Greek talent had not yet scored a goal, which came precisely when a Rossoneri scout was watching him up close. As of today, the newspaper continues, 25 million euros would be needed: Karetsas, with a small build, has excellent technique and already plays for the Greek senior national team, for which he has scored 3 goals in 9 appearances.
