Massimiliano Allegri, Milan’s coach, spoke at the press conference after Lazio-Milan.
Did you expect a game like this?
“Closed match, whoever scored would win: it had already happened on Saturday. We played better today, but in football it counts who wins. They were good at seizing the moment. We are angry and disappointed, but tomorrow is another day.”
What was missing tonight?
“In the first half we could have played faster between the lines, but they defended well. In the second we had chances, we were careless on the corner… In our best moment we conceded a goal: we need to improve.”
Are you satisfied with Jashari? Allegri replied:
“No, he was in good condition and played well. Estupinan too. The positive thing is that everyone is fit, but we are disappointed. Now we must not get depressed, it wasn’t easy, but we prepare for the game against Torino.”
Do you need extra reinforcements upfront?
"It wasn’t easy tonight, Lazio allows little. Normally in Milan we had chances, but against them it’s always difficult: today we had even more. If you give space and make small mistakes, like on corners tonight, you lose. Tonight we did well, if we had scored the judgment would change. Now I have to think about the next match, but often even in full control we make too many mistakes.”
