AC Milan's head coach Massimiliano Allegri is preparing his team for the next match against Torino. The management is supporting the coach ahead of this difficult trip to Turin, especially after the loss in Coppa Italia against Maurizio Sarri's Lazio. The team, however, definitely needs an addition in the January transfer market window in order to continue fighting for a Champions League spot, and perhaps even try going for the Scudetto. That may be possible only with a strong bench and quality depth, however.
In that sense, a new name is emerging for the AC Milan defense ahead of the January transfer window: we are talking about Jay Idzes, a 2000-born Indonesian player at Sassuolo, who joined them from Venezia in the summer for 8 million euros.
AC Milan scouts have been monitoring and evaluating the defender closely for some time. He could become the Rossoneri’s main defensive target in January, although gaffer Max Allegri would prefer a more experienced profile like Thiago Silva, as relayed via Sport Mediaset.
How is Idzes season so far at Sassuolo?
The 25-year-old made 13 appearances so far this season in Serie A. He played 1170 minutes and has proved to be a crucial part of coach Fabio Grosso's team. The player stands at 190 centimetres tall. He has a long-term contract which runs until June 30, 2029.
