Among the awardees of the 11th Gazzetta Sports Awards was Luka Modric, who received the Legend Award.
From the stage the Milan midfielder said:
"I feel good, I enjoy what I do. I feel strong physically and mentally, I am having fun and everything is going well. I hope to continue like this.”
Speaking about his experience at Milan, Modric said:
“I am doing good work with Milan, one of my favorite clubs. As a child I dreamed of playing for this great team. Italian football is different from Spanish football, but the league is tough. People abroad often fail to understand how demanding it is. This did not surprise me because I always knew.”
Modric then spoke about Massimiliano Allegri:
"Allegri is a top coach, he wins. His personality surprised me. I enjoy working with him because he knows how to handle top players."
