Ezio Simonelli, president of the Serie A League, spoke to SportMediaset ahead of the Napoli-Milan EA SuperCup. His statements:
"We are very satisfied with the public turnout for this event. Having a full stadium is a huge satisfaction, showing that this internationalization effort is producing results. We even met local fans wearing Napoli and Milan hats, which proves that this initiative is bearing fruit."
So where will Milan-Como be played?
“It will take place in Perth on February 8 as scheduled. We had a cordial meeting with Infantino, as always. We had doubts about some conditions set by the AFC that we considered impractical, especially the one regarding referees not being Italian. I spoke with Collina, and he gave me full guarantees about the Asian referees, even providing some top-level names. This condition was the most difficult, but we will accept it. There are other issues that we will resolve in the coming days. The referees will be Asian.”
