Gennaro Gattuso, head coach of the Italian national team and former Rossoneri legend, was in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, yesterday to attend the Italian Supercoppa semi final between Milan and Napoli.
Among the questions put to him was one about Davide Bartesaghi, the young Milan player born in 2005 who has been one of the big surprises of the season. In particular, Gattuso was asked whether it will be possible to see the not yet 20 year old in the senior national team in the coming months.
Gennaro Gattuso’s response on Davide Bartesaghi:
"Bartesaghi in the national team for the World Cup play offs? Why not? He is doing very well. There are him, Palestra, Zaniolo. Many young players are performing well. Let’s see what kind of performance he produces today, but the fact remains that he is doing very, very well."
